Reverse camera - screen either blinking or dead

My setup is navall 2, a wireless transmitter from Sean and some generic camera. Installed it a cpl of days ago, it seemed to work at the beginning while stationary; put in reverse, rear view shows, disengage reverse, all back to normal.

The problems started when I moved the car (it may also be that I didn`t notice before, because I only spent a cpl of minutes looking at it). The screen started blinking constantly, as if it was about to go into the rear view mode (black screen, top bar visible with "home" and "back" icons). It did that in frequent, unspecified intervals and it always lasted a fraction of a second, so that nothing except for what I described above showed on the screen.
The wires I connected for this, call it setup #1, were as follows:
- boot: (all connections to the right rear lamp plug) gnd to black, + to a side brown/green (don`t remember the color exactly now, but it`s the + from the reverse light)
- dash: yellow rca from the camera to "cam in" from the unit (the "audio loom"), gnd to gnd (black) in the unit's "power loom", + to + (red) in the unit's "power loom", blue from the transmitter to orange (not pink as others suggest - in my loom pink has a "brake" tag, and orange has a "reverse" tag).

I thought that the reason is that the camera is getting constant power from the unit's "power loom", so I changed the below (let`s call that setup #2):
- boot: stays the same
- dash: gnd (black) from the transmitter to gnd (black) from the unit's "audio loom", + (red) from the transmitter to "cam in" (red) from the "audio loom". the rest stayed as it was. Now, for this setup, there`s no visuals at all. I checked later, and the "cam in" (red) wire doesn`t supply any power (checked that with a screwdriver-like tester).

Anybody any ideas? Thx.

Reviving this old thread as I found out a possible cause of the issue. I won`t share it yet, not to influence anybody; asking for your ideas as I give you some more details on the problem.

Long story short, my reverse camera only works intermittently. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn`t. I found a pattern, though. It ALWAYS works whenever I press the clutch pedal lightly while reversing, pressing the brake pedal at the same time, almost to the point of killing the engine (if that`s the right expression). I believe there`s less power circulating around the car at this time, because lights dim. And then when the camera works just fine...

Anybody, any ideas?

Do you have any LED lights? Just a thought.
I think the clutch pedal has a switch underneath, is that in correct position.
These are just my wild thought`s.
Ken.

No leds.

The switch under the clutch pedal is stuck most of the time. Is it used in the reverse camera setup? I will need to do something about it anyway, as I will be installing cruise control soon.
