Help, misfiring when reving and loses power under load

Hi,

Looking for a bit of advice!

It's the wife's car, a Honda CRV diesel.

Idles ok.
Misfired when revs increase.
Loses power under load.
Smells of oil.
Exhaust looks ok.

Any thoughts on what it could be?

Phil

If it's anything like our Rovers it could be a failing crank sensor.---

Or it could be injector leak back. I had the misfortune of that last summer

Took the car to the main dealers today, it's not very old.

Mechanic had a giggle, asked when it was last fueled and diagnosed contaminated fuel.

Of course it was.

Contaminated with petrol.

She used to be such a good wife too!!

So I've decided to sell up!!

Anyone interested, not very old, good runner, but she's got to go......

....the wife that is!!!!
