Andy Willi has just advised me of his storage charges of £50 per week, so must go soonest or else it will have to go for scrap.

Tony if you are stuck for storage I have loads of space, e.g. it could go down the side of my garage wrapped in a tarpaulin or in the field indefinitely

Keith, That is incredibly generous of you and much appreciated.

Andy's demand for £50 per week took me by surprise (the shell has been with him for ten weeks ). It cost me £180 to get it to Doncaster and ironically if I'd left it stored in Norwich, it would have only cost me £27 per week in a container, whilst locally it would have been £20 per week. Clearly not one of my better decisions and probably the same applies to my orginal purchase!

I will never have the money to turn this into a track/road car, so I'm going (need) to try and cut my losses soonest. It would be verging on the criminal, however, to scrap what is a unique piece of 260 history. I will probably relist it on Ebay at a low starting price with no reserve and see what transpires.

Thanks again for offering a fall back position.

I hope this ends well for you Tony, and I sincerely hope that the shell goes to someone who will make good use of what, as you rightly say, is a unique piece of history. If I had more room, 005, 577 my silver 75 diesel, a red 75 donor, a green 75 donor, possibly a 2004 75 contemporary Tomorrow as well as the mustang, the cadillac, the vans.....the list goes on...I'd have had it myself, as you know, I have a spare 4.6 Quad Cam and Tremec 5 speed myself, and I also know of a V8 rear subframe, there is a new propshaft listed somewhere, might have been Les, I can't remember, hmm..., maybe you could consider this as a future project yourself, might be worthwhile taking up the kind offer of storage while you ponder this:} food for thought!

Thanks Jeff, appreciated.

i viewed this V8 shell today in andi's workshop and i can assure you it is in safe hands.

this shell does take up rather a large portion of the working space in this particular area of the workshop and the space which it is taking up could be used for additional storage and spares which are needed to keep the garage running.

andi did seem anxious about the particular costs of storage, but if you appreciate the running costs of this garage i'm sure you will understand his position, maybe it would be best to contact him regarding this.

£50 a week  That's taking the ****. I may have the option of a garage later in the year at £45 per week but that is a double as in space for 2 cars & room to work on them.
