One of the usual problems - help needed

Morning All

I have the wet boot (passenger side) and need some help to resolve this.

I have a spare rear light seal (the type with no join) but would appreciate if any members in the Leeds/York area could help me make sure I can get this problem cracked

Thanks

Andrew

where is the boot wet? is it close to the light cluster or below the rear screen?

Leak

Hi there

It's close to the corner so I'd say either rear light seal or side waste strip (hoping the former)

Check the seam where the panels overlap near the boot hinge that runs under the rear screen rubber. I noticed mine was sat proud above the spot weld where on the driver's side it was flush. Suspecting the sealer has swollen and pushed the joint apart , I've cleaned the joint and sealed it and it's now dry after yesterday's rain. There are other places it can leak but I actually saw it drip in the passenger side corner when shopping the other day which gave me a bit of a clue.

Same place as mine was leaking, I squirted in some seek and seal stuff that stopped it.
