Key disabling question

I have a quick question about disabling keys.
Once a lost/stolen key has been disabled with T4 I know it will no longer start the engine but will it still physicaly open the door?
Question from an owner of a stolen key set.

Should do, the door lock is purely mechanical ..

this will in turn operate the door switch and tell the BCU to operate the central locking.

The door can be opened with the key when the battery is flat, so yes.

Yes it will still open the driver's door and the boot on Mk1's. Unless the person who finds the key knows the car it will be highly unlikely that the car will be tampered with. To be on the safe side the driver's and the boot locks should be changed as a minimum.
