Coolant loss and oil in same 75 1.8

I have to top up the coolant each morning before departing for work. The amount is not great also there is oil floating on the top of the coolant as in slick not emulsified. The cylinder head gasket was changed 24,000 miles ago, other than that the car runs well. Any suggestions. thankyou

It's still leaking a very small amount from somewhere so I would take it back to the garage that carried out the repair (hopefully still under waranty!!).

HTH;)

If there was just oil in the cooling system it could be that it just needed flushing (i have seen some cars that the oil and water have mixed so badly that it takes a long long time to flush 100%) unfortunatly you say that you are still losing water, if the water pump is ok i'm afraid it looks like the head gasket may have failed again.
