I notice that the company that imports VW Camper Vans from Mexico are still in operation as I see them with new plates occasionally.

If they can sell them for 42K, why not an MG 7 for 20K?

put my name down - I cant see why NAC seam so against anything MG7 getting over here , it really is a missed market

NAC don't exist anymore its SAIC

I'd buy a new MG ZTT CDTi tourer tomorrow if they made one.. but the tourer died 5years ago and it doesn't look like it will come back :(

The MG 750 interior is awful compared to our ZT's and 75's

I think its simple. Rover/MG recycled their cars so many times, when they bring the new cars to the market, they want them to be fresh and new, not compared to past.

Plus crash and emission levels etc, I doubt the zt would meet them the same way they did ten years ago!

carl 18th November 2010 17:16

i dont intend to crash it lol

I know there old hat just better than anything thats now

I think that is a very nice development.

It just goes to show, if you take a good basic design then it should be tastefully updated to produce a winner.

I would buy one.

I dont understand why manufacturers feel they have to do a complete redesign every 8 years or so. It costs a fortune and quite often the new result is not as nice. They think just by doing this the new one will grow on us.

In the 90's BMW produced some nice cars. Then they went through a period of silliness and produced designs universally condemned. The E63 7 series for example, whereas the previous E32/38 design were perfect and didn't need changing apart from updating once in a while. I still think the E32 is nicer than anything they have produced recently.

So hail to the Rowe 750, long may it continue.

The reason that none of the old cars no matter how updated they have been wil not meet the euro emissions and safety aspects, thats the main reason why a lot of new cars are ugly, the only way to bring some back here and sell them is a small volume niche manufacturer afaik.

Emissions and pedestrian safety have moved on a long long way and the only way to bring a 75/ZT replacement here is to make an all new model, so hopefully we will se the new MG7 over here in time.

Roewe 750 for sale in Poland

Resurrecting quite an old thread and it's no longer for sale but this Roewe 750 was on sale only a few weeks ago, registered in Poland.

Evidently a few did make it through to western Europe after all, I wonder how many?
