Stage 8: Edinburgh to Boston

BigRuss 14th May 2009 16:02

I would still like to do part of route 8, as would Dave (Stocktake) we really need a couple more for the furthest north and the furthest south parts of the route. :D

We are prepared to do the stretch between Newcastle to Hull. (give or take a few miles)

2230 miles - 55 hours = 40mph average speed
Having just worked this out, I'm getting very nervous.
Some very unsocialble hours - especially for Devon and Cornwall and Scotland. Plus I was hoping to get the time down to 48 hours, so this may well influence Stage route plans.

BigRuss 16th May 2009 10:44

Andrew, I can co-ordinate up to a point, but importantly on the 20th I will only have read only access on-line due to other commitments, but could still do things by phone if necessary if no-one else comes forward. ;)

Stage Co-ordinator and Participants

Thanks for your kind offer. Lets see how things pan out, we can make a decision later.

I'm a bit surprised given the geography and the number of members in this stage that a few more haven't signed up yet.

Early days

Cheers
Andrew

Perhaps one of the Scottish contingent could take the first leg from Edinburgh?

The Yellow Peril 17th May 2009 20:43

Edinburgh .......

Scooterchick, can you liaise with BigRuss, as he has kindly offered to help coordinate the Stage on from you, and your new route will affect all those that follow on.

We have plenty of time yet to finalise routes and times, but I would like to try and get it all agreed and documented by the end of May if possible

Cheers

Andrew
