Cause of stalling!

At last, I can report the source of the random stalling I’ve been suffering from these last few months. It’s a faulty relay. After (yet) another stall this evening, I drifted over to the side of the road. In the past, my passenger once or thrice, in frustration, used their foot in the footwell area to ‘kick’ the car to life and it worked! This was in the back of my mind as my hand ‘rummaged’ in the fuse area. Lo and behold I touched the lower left of a bank of black relays and the upb burst into life. Waggled it again and the pump died. Waggled it again and the pump came to life. It’s quite warm to touch too. BUT this isnt the fuel pump relay is it? I thought that was the green one further up above the fuses?

Yes. R3 fuel pump relay.

So, thanks to Atlan for confirming, but where was I informed that the green relay above the fuses was the fuel pump relay?!? I have tried to take it out (swap with horn relay) but it won’t come out?

Got it out. Took some waggling! Need to buy a relay then. What is that green relay on its own?

A little brown around the edges isn’t it. And it was quite warm when I got home and went to swap it with the horn relay.
