Fuel and injector seals

Hi all,

I'm planning to replace all the seals on both fuel rails, and all six injectors on the V6.

Could anyone point me to a reliable supplier of good quality seals

The best grade of seals for use with oils and fuels are Viton. Google for that together with the type of seals you need to find suppliers. You might find the best deals from Land Rover dealers.

Sorry Phil but very tempted to ask if you're feeling quite well.

If your seals are not leaking and all is well then leave them be. If you're determined then DMGRS have the injector seals: https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/kv6...2ee8a7a8&_ss=r

But before you start, have a look at Rimmer's price for a new fuel rail, might make you think again.

I replaced the o rings on the front fuel rail to fix a heavy leak.

Still a slight smell of fuel occasionally.

I noticed that the o rings on the injectors were a "sloppy" fit, it didn't fill me with confidence so I thought it would best to replace all the o rings on the fuel rails and injectors.

Am I being a bit stupid?

Also, there appears to be two small o rings and one larger one on each injector, does anyone know if they are all included on the dmgr kit?

Next question:

Rimmers show two part numbers for what appears to be the same part ie.

MKD000010

And

MKD000010L

Does anyone know what the L is for?

Pass, but only your nose can determine the level of slight smell. Don't know about DMGRS kit, ask them, usually answers mails quite fast.

Any listing by Rimmer's which contain L means LandRover, sometimes a cheaper alternative.

Viton has excellent stability with petrol and ethanol.

Google Viton and Viton MG ZT o-rings.

I've found this product on Ebay using Tcuts search suggestion.

KV6 Fuel Rail Seals FULL SET VITON O Rings for Rover 75 MG ZT Freelander

I'll post once I've got them fitted to let you know how I got on.
