Filling up

I filled up my car with petrol yesterday night( thanks dad) and it cost him £56.00. This should last me a few weeks but I checked my fuel computer and the figures are close to what my brim to brim test was ie 23.3 mpg so say 23 mpg that's not bad seen as I live in a rural location. Just as perspective about 18 months ago I went and took a skoda fabia vrs out and the man in the garage said on the island mpg youl just about hit 35 mpg. So I'm well happy with that what do you guys get in yours be it petrol or diesel and size please state size petrol diesel etc thanks Thomas

The best MPG I've had in my 2.5 auto limo is 477 on a full tank, I think it works out at 33.3mpg (but that was constant driving at 70-80mph though France). I thought that was ok consumption though. Bearing in mind the car was FULL 5 people and boot full of stuff!

Blimey thats good. I'm happy with my results. I bet you are to. I can only wish of figures like that though

Ha, I scoff at your measly 23mpg! I get 44 from the diesel and fill up around every 580 miles.

One day I'd like to go for a spin in a V6 to see how fast they are and what they sound like. Maybe go mad and get one one day. They are quite cheap and the opportunities for owning a British V6 are pretty limited now.

My fuel consumption works out at approx 26 mpg, which I don't think is too bad. To put it into perspective I have 140 mile commute every week and I used to put £25 into my 214sei. I now put £30 into the 75 and the price of petrol has gone up!

Hi all. Diesel cdt tourer manual here. Pottering around and an 18 mile round trip to work on mainly "A" roads i get 39 mpg. On a long run its around 56mpg. Done a couple of brim checks and the computer is not far out. I love my mobile armchair !
Regards Mark ;)

Thomas,
Try lifting the foot a little and you will be surprised at the improvement you will achieve. I know its not such an exciting drive doing this, but think of the penny's it will save you. It will also give you a little more time to enjoy your 75 in that very comfortable driving seat.
Driving locally in my S-Type 2.5, it is returning 27mpg with a manual gearbox.
Regards,
Telfer.
