Found a rust hole
So while the car was up in the air while i fit a new engine mount noticed what looked like a rust patch round the front cill few minutes later and i have a hole and hand full of rust.

Not good! Is this on the Tourer? I know Tom does the front parts now, don't know how busy he is tho'. I'm just waiting for my offside rear sill to start showing serious signs of deterioration, nothing obvious yet:o

Hi mate.
That's not looking good. I'm sure that Tom can sort it...but when? Last I heard he was busy, busy, busy. Hopefully before the June Nano so we can admire his work? Good Luck. |

More the chassis, it's by the sub frame mount, although that's solid , I could see flakey bits of rust which when I pressed it went into a large hole didn't go much further but you can see it's rusty round it |

 not too Good...
I'm a wee bit scared to investigate my Car thoroughly :getmecoat: still it's all fixable - and i'm sure there are more than one or two folks capable of the Repairs ;) Paul. |

I was told by the Tester at MOT - "we are only allowed to use thumb pressure" to test the integrity of such areas  maybe we need testers with stronger thumbs. Paul. |
