if you take your carpet out... dead easy...
If you leave it in, imagine doing a Rubik's cube in the dark, in a bag, with your fingers superglued together.

I think Artic (one of the guys that modifies them) can do a change in 15 minutes, it took me 4 hours.

hard part can be releasing and re-securing rear seat and keeping the carpet out of the way so you can make the change

HI Richard.
I would say out of 1 to 10 with 1 being easy 10 very hard, first time about 7 so just over medium.

Easier if you follow the instructions below ;) Arctic.

Hi,

Did mine a few months ago took me 2.5 hrs, (is a bit of a challenging job), I changed to the R53 (Mini) compensator, holds on three clicks now, was previously an advisory on MOT, followed Arctic's invaluable "How to" Guide (read it through several times, and printed it out to follow each step) .:D

Hi Richard.
You can get a stainless steel compensator from me, send me a PM and I will forward the details to you, also below is the full link from which the how to above came from ;)

Why not have a weekend "away" and pop along to a Nano where, if you ask nicely, it'll be done for you and you'll meet loads of interesting people :D.

Andy.
