Tomtom & Eclipse - Not Compatable
After many emails to and from Tomtom I have received the following:-
This is Katie again from TomTom Customer Support Team. Karl, I have now discussed this with our 2nd line team and they have informed that this in car set is built of the RK3188 chip -- our software ( designed for MOBILE PHONES ) does not support this special chip. Hence, as of now there is no way to get this working on your in car system. I will forward this feedback to the product development team who decides the features to be implemented in our products. We look forward to customer feedback as an initiative to improve our products and services. Your comments will be used in the evaluation and development of current and future product features. We value our customers and ask you to please feel free to continue to provide feedback about our services. If you have any further questions or would like to discuss this matter further, please feel free to contact me anytime. Many thanks for your time and consideration. With Kind Regards Katie Customer Service Representative |
You sure the Eclipse has a RK3188 chip as that chip only has a max of 4 cores?
Tom Tom Go on my Xtrons unit works perfectly fine, which has a MT3562 Octa Core, ARM Cortex-A53 chipset. Cheers Jub |

http://imgur.com/OrdobAM http://imgur.com/hkYvPfM I know that Ownice uses 2 different cpu's the MT3561 (quad core) and the MT3562 (octa core) It is intresting to see which is better, the PX5 or the MT3562, very interesting. Xtron (eclips) vs Ownice C500+ (premium) |

Strangely Wikipedia quotes the RK3066 chip as being dual core, so is there info wrong? RK30xx series[edit] The RK3066 is a high performance dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 mobile processor similar to the Samsung Exynos 4 Dual Core chip. In terms of performance, the RK3066 is between the Samsung Exynos 4210 and the Samsung Exynos 4212.[27][28][29][30][31] As of 2013, it was targeted at tablets and Android TV dongles and boxes.[22] It has been a popular choice for both tablets and other devices since 2012. 40 nm process Dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor (ARMv7 architecture) clocked up to 1.6 GHz 512 KB L2 cache[22] NEON SIMD support Quad core Mali-400 GPU, clocked at 250 MHz supporting OpenGL ES 2.0, OpenVG 1.1 support, 9 GFLOPS[25] VPU (Video Processing Unit) multimedia processor supporting 1080p image and video decoding DDR, DDR2, DDR3 support, up to 2 GB HDMI 1.4 interface 2-channels TFT LCD Interface with 5 layers and 3D display (1920×1080 maximum display Size) USB 2.0 interface SD/MMC interface |
I think cpuz isn't reading it correctly.
Just click install on the play store.... Sent from my LG-H850 using Tapatalk |
