Early morning trip out on our boat
Went out with a friend on a trip to Great Yarmouth and Breydon Water in our boat this Tuesday.
We left our Marina at 07.00am to make good time for low water at Great Yarmouth around 09.00am. We need to make this time so we can have adequate air draft clearance under the bridges at Great Yarmouth before entering Breydon Water. A few images of the sunrise. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7854/...50a0dbeb_b.jpgLady Emma by Jeff Cranwell, on Flickr https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7889/...fc8a5f3e_b.jpgLady Emma by Jeff Cranwell, on Flickr We stopped at Scare Gap just outside Great Yarmouth so we could lower/de mast the VHF aerials and Navigation mast. Better to do this than have the bridges do it for you:eek: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7846/...758935a7_b.jpgLady Emma by Jeff Cranwell, on Flickr Some YouTube videos of the day can be found on this thread :} https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...38#post2711138 |

Yes indeed, just realised that. Today was almost like summer, after spending the morning valeting the 75’s the missus and I went off for our almost weekly visit to Dumfries House near Cumnock.
It’s a lovely estate owned by Prince Charles and the work that has been done there is impressive. The gardens are well worth a visit. It’s free to enter and there’s lovely walks within the grounds. There is a charge for viewing the Main House and we pay a nominal fee to enter the walled gardens throughout the year. Here’s a photo of the 75 today and as you see it’s blitzed by the sun. |
Looks lovely Jeff.
Jim, i really like Dumfries House. We did a Christmas candle lit tour round the house - stunning. It could be a great place for a meet |
