Badges
Has anyone noticed on the Rimmers site that the v6 badge on the exploded diagram for 75 badges looks proper MGR whereas the photo thumbnail looks very different and aftermarket?
https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001796 Does anyone have a good condition original for sale? Cheers Andrew |
I have Pearl Black facelift ZT 190 SE with very faded badges front and rear, so I'd be very interested in new badges too.

Hi Edward
We almost have the same garage - my ZT190 SE in PBT is not a tourer, but I am also lucky enough to have a 260 as well Andrew |
I ordered a V6 badge from Rimmers last year - it came looking like the thumbnail, not original. Sent it back! Found one on EBay (new) for £9.99, but not sure if they are still around - the guy had several.

Do you remember his eBay username?

You're right, although my V8 is in the less illustrious silver and not SE. Both vehicles great to drive though. V8 just going in for MOT this Friday at just over 70k...barely run in! V6 (Ricks old steed ) has 140k + but still drives well. Planning to keep them as long as we're allowed to drive them. |
I've taken the plunge and gone with
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...N84CHOPJ&psc=1 and https://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Shiny...omotive&sr=1-1 These badges seem to be a minefield. Some are square edges, some bevelled edges, the OEM ones have lugs and are pricey and the aftermarket cheaper items seem to be self adhesive. MK1 badges seem different to MK11. I'll comment on what they look like when they arrive. |
