2002 Rover 75 2.5 V6 Connoisseur automatic***SOLD

After much deliberation I have decided to put my cherished V6 up for sale.

The car in question is my 2.5 V6 Connoisseur automatic in Wedgewood Blue with Ash Leather trim.
I purchased this car in 2011 to accompany our 75 diesel. Strangely enough this car came off the line on 7th February 2002 and our diesel which we purchased new came off the line on 13th February 2002 and both cars were despatched to the same main dealer Parkautomobile in East Kilbride.
Over the years the car has served me well and has been meticulously maintained having now covered 60,000 miles. I actually replaced this car with an older 2001 Connoisseur SE basically because I wanted a 75 with a sunroof.
The car has all the usual Connoisseur refinements like heated leather seats, air con, electric windows and cruise control plus over the years I have added numerous modifications to upgrade the car which include,

Exterior
Stainless mesh upper and lower grilles with lower grille surround area painted in silver.
Extra chrome trim to front and rear bumpers.
Twin pinstripe silver/red above chrome strip.
Union alloys refurbished with new centre caps.
Chromed brass valve caps and deleted wheel locking nuts.
Rear mud flaps.
Interior
Harmony head unit upgraded to Symphony unit with CD multichanger.
Extra walnut trim to dash, door switches and rear cubby box ( Simon Bulgaria)
Custom made walnut veneer door capping's and seat side trims.
Footwell illumination to front and rear (side flasher repeaters)
Extra sound insulation to boot sides and spare wheel well.
Cruise control resume on/off modified switch (more accessible on steering wheel)
Pre "Pro Drive" Rover Logo embossed front head restraints.
Existing front head restraints fitted to rear. Originals with the car.
Mechanical
Custom stainless steel exhaust ( Cat back) with duplex outlet pipes.
Fully concealed detachable ( Witter Quantum Vertical) tow bar with drop down 13 pin electrics which include split charging relays.
Deleted space saver in favour of Union alloy spare.
Bonnet release modification. plus bonnet release catches were overhauled..
Shannon tube modification (Jules)
Plenum spy hole modification.
Colour coded engine cover and auxiliary belt cover.
All brake assemblies (callipers) etc. de rusted and painted.
Rear suspension fully overhauled with new springs, new rear upper arms with sub frame sand blasted and re painted.
New ex factory complete front spring assemblies fitted.
Timing belts etc. renewed 2016
Also at this time new water pump, thermostat assembly, auxiliary belt and new tensioners fitted.

The car will be supplied with an extensive A4 presentation folder showing all receipts over the years and a 30 page "Word" diary as written by myself telling the story and history of the car during my ownership.
In addition I will supply a memory card with most of the photos taken during my ownership.
This car has been well documented on the Rover 75 & MGZT Owners Club forum under the following topics which show the level of work carried out on this car and my previous 75 diesel,

"My two 75's"
"Full suspension overhaul illustrated"
"Burr Walnut door cappings (make your own)"
"New Secret Project "Quantum - Concealed detachable Towbar"

My asking price has been reduced to £1500 to move it along.
I consider this to be a fair price considering the overall condition of the car, inside, outside and even the underside which is almost like a new car.
I doubt if there is any 75 currently for sale with such an extensive history going with it. Just ask Blackrose on this forum who is now the owner of my previous 75 diesel.
The car which is currently on SORN shows its original registration of BF52 WPX is in a drive away condition with no anticipated work required on it for some time. It has been fully serviced including a gearbox oil change.

This car is still up for sale but I've reduced the price to £1500

Considering the condition of this car I still think is it a good purchase and the car is in a drive away condition.

Reading on the comments of some owners cars, there is no corrosion evident on the sills or anywhere else on this car and the suspension components have all been replaced as described.

I'm giving this another chance to forum members before I put it up for general sale.

Whoever purchases this car should have no fear of any immediate expenditure and I will still put a fresh 12 month MOT on it at point of sale.
The car has been standing all winter yet still started on first turn of the key last week when I gave it a short run.

I've also prepared a DVD ( see thumbnail photo) with just under 500 images taken during my ownership. This goes along with my presentation folder also shown.

I'm sorry for the small thumbnail photos but I tried using Photobucket ,which I've used in the past to post better images but had to give up.

I’m surprised this car has not sold so I’ve reduced it to £1,500 to move it along.

Put it another way you can buy a 75 for £600 to £800 elsewhere with a higher mileage but then you may have to spend £400 to £500 on cam belt replacement, another £500 on a full suspension overhaul, £400 on a stainless exhaust system.

This car has got all of that plus loads of other MODs as well.
I doubt if there’s a low mileage 75 currently for sale as good as this one and with history.

Car is now sold

Please note this car has now been sold.

Thank you to everyone who showed an interest.

I will leave it up to the new owner to post anything here on the forum if he wishes.
