1.8 turbo misfiring when cold
Hi my 1.8 turbo is running on 3 cylinders for about a minute when the car has been stood for a few week it doesn't happen when I'm using the car every day you can smell unburnt fuel from the exhaust I was thinking a plug fouling or a dodgy coil/ lead
Thanks |
Pound to a penny its the inlet manifold gasket dribbling coolant into the manifold. Seals up when the engine warms up, misfire stops when the leaked coolant burns off.

Slap an alloy inlet manifold on, It'll never leak again:cool: Also gap the plugs to .75 or .8mm;):D https://i.imgur.com/b5tMBYcl.jpg
