Tourer Tailgate has struts
Hi All,
The tailgate on the tourer is getting heavier and heavier. I guess it's time to replace the struts. Does anyone have any advice on the best struts to fit, and any tips for replacing them? Phil The description should say gas struts!! |
The upside of having weak struts is they wont crack the bodywork around the fixing!!

It looks like the spigots have been repaired at some point.
Hopefully they will be strong enough for new struts. The wife is giving me stick about the weight, so I am committed to swapping them or face lonely nights!!!! That's the weight of the gate, not my weight!!! |
HI chillyphil, My spigots have been repaired about 3 years now, and I replaced the struts for new ones about 12 weeks ago. The new ones I have seem really good. They fit nicely and no problem with the spigots.
These are the ones I brought and quite a good price and 10 year guarantee. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263712112620 |
Where can I buy one of the 2015 75s that these fit? :D
