More than a few feel same way. Cost us around 800 per person to do trip between fuel and ferry and hotels and meals etc.

I intend to go but I need to see something confirmed in place for the situation.

Hans-Peter 10th November 2018 13:23

Seems we have to attend again in 2019 :D

GJ53 DGO 17th November 2018 18:39

I’ll be going in my recently acquired ZT-T. I would normally go in my ZS but that is still work in progress, 14 years later! Last year I had a T16 ZS (Pete Scott’s old one) sold that on as had too much on. My club, theMGZS.co.uk is a bit light on numbers so unsure if we’ll have a stand this year. No idea where I’ll pitch up this year.

A lot of members meet up at one of the local service stations, I’ve forgotten the name of it now. I just go to Longbridge meet straight from the hotel.
I’m not sure who is going from Warwick. I’m sure they’ll be some members that are form the area.

Hi, I have agreed to take part in the Cowley Convoy on this day, but understand that this isn't part of the Pride of Longbridge tour? Is it possible to join in both if I am heading to Longbridge ?

My understanding so far is the Cowley Convoy are stopping at The Transport Museum around 11am , so if the POL are at Low Hill Lane until 16:00 I could come down in the afternoon? Do I need to put my name down?

Yes, just turn up as and when. It’s a free show where everyone is welcome.

You can arrive at any time but most people will be there by about 9am. The park will be full very quickly. There is roughly 2,000 cars that will be parked up in the field.
You can leave any time. There are exit points you can follow. I’ve updated thread with times etc.

Yes, come down any time you wish. You don’t have to put your name down or register or anything like that. You can just turn up. I’ve just created this list to see who from the club is attending and to encourage members to come along and to meet some new and old faces.

Not going to make it this year. We have the grandchildren all weekend and normally I would bring them along for a few hours as part of a day out. Unfortunately one has some health issues and it would be foolish and irresponsible to take her away from the security of home for too long.

Family first, car events second, work third!

I’ve not been informed of anything. Perhaps admin can shed some light on it....Simondi?

I know I’ll be parked up beside the 800s as they’ve made some space for 600s, too which is what I’ll be taking with me.

I had a message from Gemma at POL command.

We are in area 12, entrance is via gate 2 on lowhill lane.

There should hopefully be a map or plan produced. If so I will post it up.

We also have a Printable Window Flyer.

Hi Rav,

I have updated post #1 for you to include the printable window flyer that Simondi mentioned, and gate and parking area info too.

Also, your list had 4 repeated names in it, so I've updated it and listed folk coming in alphabetical order to make it easier for them to check their name is down.

I hope the weather holds this time, last one I went to was cancelled because of snow!

Fingers crossed the day is brilliant, there is nothing quite like this for seeing so many great cars all in one place :cool2:

As I recall there are two entrances along Lowhill Lane, I think one is used as an exit later in the day but don't quote me.

This is the info sent to Simondi by the organisers, so I can't elaborate further other than to say I'm sure it will be clearly signposted and have car park marshals on hand to direct you.

Make sure you have your printed window flyer available so they can see your final parking spot and steer you in the right direction ;)

When you are going down Lowhill Lane and pass SAIC Motors Technical Centre entrance, first gate on the right hand side will be Gate 2. Second gate on the right hand side will be Gate 1.

Ravinder 5th April 2019 18:47

I’ll be going via a different entrance as ordered by the 800 & 600 club as I’ll be parking my baby with them.

Can I just turn up? I will be in Mansfield and if I can get the day off would like to attend, been wanting to for a few years. How much is entrance fee. What time would I need to arrive and can I leave any time?

Dave I normally park on the pavement on Low Hill Lane opposite MG Motor's main gate, then it's an easy walk into the park for a wander round the cars ;).

Ian

To answer your questions.

Yes you can just turn up, for information the Club's in area 12 the stewards will direct you, the event is free, you can arrive and leave as you want though allowing for possible traffic build ups during the day.

Most groups meet at Hopwood services and then head off in convoy.

Interested to see what the issue could be so tried it on my tablet and clicked the Generate flyer tab and it opened the flyer in a new tab from which I was then able to print as a PDF so saved that on the tablet and could print off later.

Not sure if that helps you Paul. Has your better half tried a different browser?

I hope I haven't inadvertently suggested that I'm going as I'm unable to attend.

shiner 11th April 2019 23:30

Don’t know if you will see this in time but KFC junction 10. 9AM, leave about 9:15-9:20

macafee2 13th April 2019 07:29

unfortunately due to snapping a wood drill and screwdriver bit yesterday I cant make this event. I must carry on with erecting a stud wall and doorframe at my daughters house.

I am disappointed that I cannot make the event but I hope all goes well for everyone involved.

It was a bit cold but what a great turn out, over 100 75's/ZT's easily!

Ravinder 18th April 2019 15:52

Yep. Very good turnout. Thankfully, it stayed dry but very very cold.
