Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI recommendable?

Hi

Does anyone use Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI?

Is this software recommendable for tweaking photos? So would it be worth to spend some money on it (even if it's not much)? Or should I go for the current version X2, which costs four times as much? Or is there any other better software? I don't intend to spend hundreds of quids, as I won't use it in a professional way.

Any suggestions are welcome. :)

Juergen,

Clicky Fing Why not try Gimp it's free and some reviewers say as good as Paint Shop, worth a try before you spend cash on something not used a lot.

I second Gimp, although I don't use it myself, I know a few people that do and they like it. :D

Thanks for the reminder, I hadn't used GIMP since upgrading to OSX 10.5 as my old version did not run. Just installing latest Power PC version

Thanks :) I'll give GIMP a try (when I'll be back from Beaulieu).

You might like to try Irfanview (with add-ons). It's a great picture viewer and tweaker - and free.
