1.8T clouds of white smoke
Hi a 1.8T that when revved emits white smoke but o idle we think nothing (turbo) ?
|
Does this happen when the engine is cold or at all times?
White 'smoke' indicates moisture. |
sorry should have said oil and water fine no mayo and not using any, also head rebuilt and new turbo fitted a few months back, smoke at all times
|
Does the white smoke vanish quickly like steam or does it hang around like smoke ??

Oil in Combustion Chamber is HG or Valve seals. or rare its piston rings
Coolant in Cylinder can only be ? inlet gasket as you said or the Dreaded Hg .. Unfortunately just because a garage did it . doesn't mean its been done right :duh:, more often than not they do it wrong ? Ours had failed about 20k down the line from a garage repair and found they had put in the wrong gasket for the liner heights on our car . C |
