Dealer saying it's chassis No 2 on a facelift car?? :duh:

Tom.

Just down the road from me, if anyone needs any help?

Greeners 3rd April 2015 18:34

it is indeed No 2 but it appears to have been reincarnated as a face lift car and re registered

stockwell1 3rd April 2015 18:40

How much was it brand new ?

stevestrat 3rd April 2015 18:51

It was a development car and as such not sold new. Didn't come onto the market til MGR went bust. It is a mk1, only the headlights and front bumper are facelift items.

Quite possibly lying in a corner without a front end and it was bodged together to get it sold by the liquidators.

Bit of a shame that they didn't bother to align the bumper properly to the bonnet and panels. Doesn't do the car justice.

As for it being #002, it is a prototype car so may have some 'unknown 'challenges'

Should really have stayed a MKI, being #002.

Hmm just seen this on ebay before coming onto here, reading it with a raised eyebrow lol! A nice challenge etc.. if you've got time, money and patients keeping her running. Would this one have been a cable clutch too?
