ID on a CDT part please

I hope Arctic doesnt mind me borrowing one of his photos but whilst I had the starter out of my diesel, I noticed the part (circled in red, bottom left) which has a water coolant pipe going into it but I have no idea what it is. Could someone 'edumicate' me as I feel a bit daft asking but cant find it online!! Thanks :)

That's the engine oil heat exchanger.

As mike says above, some call it oil cooler, why you asking just so you know, or is yours leaking ? if so seals can be purchased for it.

They also are fitted to the FL1 TD4.

many thanks guys. No leaks but I had to temporarily remove the hose to get the starter in place and was surprised to see coolant briefly coming out!! Now i know :)
