Driving shoes
In my forties, I used to have feet sized 10. Now they are size 12 and I am wondering if anyone else has this problem, could it be age related or peculiar to something else? Thank you.
As the feet become bigger, they feel awkward around the car pedals and less bendy. Any suggestions? |
thats correct i take size eleven and a half as i am 6 foot 5 inches tall . driving small cars is a nightmare ,also wearing work boots etc in the rover is a bit of a struggle. i tend to wear trainers mostly rgds mark

Is this a suggestion as to what to do about large feet?
A tad excessive? :D |

I'm normally size 13, occasionally 12 and sometimes 14 in trainers!
Not really noticed an issue driving any car (I still have a classic mini) My biggest bugbear is finding shoes that fit well or finding anything in my size at all! They are out there but you just cant walk in to any shoe shop and say "I'll have those". I think that many people these days have larger feet and ranges that stop at size 11 aren't much good. |
Thank you all for the feedback. I don’t know why some people’s feet become larger. I gather women’s bra sizes have also become larger over the years. Is there a connection, who knows......;)

Ref driving shoes, I wear lonsdale Camden trainers from sports direct (I would love to be able.to source them elsewhere though). They do half sizes, are shaped like a football boot, but they are great for driving (they used to be better but they changed the design slightly). My feet would be quite wide, however these, whilst a snug fit, fit straight away with no need to break in. They dont feel.clunky or awkward when driving, and whilst they dont give the same feel they used to, they do transmit the feel through the pedal. Sent from my SM-A600FN using Tapatalk |
