Can anyone save this one nr Sutton Coldfield?

Seems like a decent spec:

Nothing to do with me.

It needs an OSR upper suspension arm and the engine is overheating. Guess what that could be?

Now look at the photographs and the mileage.

Unusual for a 2.5 to have HGF though...oil cooler dead? Thermostat housing? Mileage is pretty low at 71K.

Seller suggests coolant leak from under the radiator. Doesn't sound like HGF, possible split hose?

The coolant loss could be from the coolant rail feeding the oil cooler that runs across the sub frame. Concern for me would be how serious was the overheat during the MOT test. If the temperature gauge moves upwards from the 9 o clock position it's already potentially damaging at 117 degrees.

My first check would be for a failed fan resistor.

Went for good money in the end even though I think it was bid up.
