Where to get Rear arms replaced - Essex
Hi All,
Per the title really. Changing rear disks and pads I could see that the cups the springs sit in are pretty corroded. I had arranged with a Rover specialist not too far from me (I won't name) to change them and as agreed I bought the arms and bolts from DMGRS. They took the car in briefly, took a look and were concerned about tying their ramp up so wanted to have some more parts / bolts to hand in case required and I collected the car. They were to order the parts but that was many weeks ago and when I chase never any progress. I've concluded that I don't think they are too keen on the job! Any suggestions for a garage or individual that might take this on for me, using the arms I have already bought? I'm in Essex (near Basildon) but happy to travel a reasonable distance. I have a 2nd car so don't need to be in a desperate hurry to get it back. I thought of Trikey (and he would be happy to do it) but he's moved quite a distance away. Thanks, Keith |
Lates are very good

Kevin at MG Rover repair center in Wickford is close to you. That's who I use.
He's semi retired now but still keeps bookings going a few days a week. He knows these cars very well and has done rear arms many times before. https://wickford.cylex-uk.co.uk/comp...-25830966.html |

Proved to be a really good recommendation from Rick. Car dropped off 8.30, phone call 1.30 that it was ready, arms fitted, seized track rod ends unseized and tracking done. Very knowledgeable and friendly guy and very fairly priced too.
Wouldn't have liked to drive much further on the old ones....pic attached!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...364bc511d5.jpg Sent from my moto g(30) using Tapatalk |
