Abs fault shown up
Eek... Has any kind soul got a connector/ lead, that can be used to get readings from the wheel sensors.
Speedo is ok so right front probably ok,. Cruise ok so left front ok.. left rear reports a fault with toaf, so dived in today Dragged it all out ,a bit rusty but nothing rubbing. Also my Delphi clone shows live data on the rear left as very dodgy for a short while before settling to a flat line graph like the other 3 wheels. Any thoughts or cables peeps. Ta. Chris |
Also is there a spot where you can access all the Sensor signals ?

It sounds as if you've already identified the NSR as the likely culprit Chris.
Search under Arctic's posts for tips on removing flakes of rust at the rear hub which it's believed can cause the ABS sensor's signal to be disrupted. Simon |
done all that loads of clearance now and no rust left bit of gaping hole .
No apparent rubbing shown but still got the ABS fault . :duh: Hub change ?. reluctant to put an aftermarket on with all the naff bearings about :D. Still wondering if there is a point in the car where I can access all the ABS Signals ? or is the rear connector accessible in the boot ? Its a bit easier to ask here , while at work, than drag out the boot full of tools and junk thats in the boot at the moment :o, just to find its not there . have got a few weeks to resolve or it may cause a prob with the MOT :D I did manage to get reading of sorts with my old Delphi clone interface, though not well practised with it .. 3 Wheels show the same graph ( like the right rear one ) and the Left rear shows defferent .. see the pic . https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/UY...=w1030-h773-no |

I had the same fault last year, I have access to a Bosch kts on a laptop so I don't know if you can do the same with TOAF , I measured the speed of the wheel sensors on a quiet lane with it on my knees and at 5 mph three wheels read 5 mph except my n/s/r which read 5 then 0 the 5 then 0 etc. I fitted a new hub and within a few yards the light went out and stayed out. Still good to this day.

Fingers Crossed I may have sorted it with just a Hub/Bearing Change ( C/o Matt D) .
At least the light goes out and stays out ( for the 5 mins run I just did) will see next week running to work . Now to see if we can get to the bottom of the 1.8 alarm going off prob :duh: C. |
