MIRACLE ULEZ compliant V6!!!????
:eek::eek::eek:
Can anyone explain this for me????? https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1121210 claims a 52 V6 to be ULEZ compliant. No mention of engine mods in the ad...:shrug: But sure enough https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/che...-vehicle-35896 identifies it correctly and says it IS compliant. Does the ULEZ database have errors in it? Are some V6s secretly compliant? I think we should be told :cool: |
That's correct I was in london recently and checked, it's just goes on the NOX figures for Euro 4, the 2.5 actually met the Euro 4 standard in this area before the Euro 4 was a thing, that didn't come out until 2005, MGR was about to go bust! It just shows what a well designed engine it was, shame it wasn't assembled with the same level of detail...
|
I am confused? It says my 2.5 isnt compliant? Are some different?
|
My ZT 190 is compliant but my CDTi is not
|
Why is my 2.5 not then????

Funny that, because my 2003 diesel 75 is fine, as is the 1.8T. |
The whole ULEZ and LEZ thing is a complete shambles. Apparently whoever thought of it just assumed that if it wasn't Euro 4 built it wouldn't meet the euro 4 standard... wrong!
Add to that the fact they refuse to update the database that is used to check vehicles when they receive proof (certificates of conformity) of meeting the limits, from owners who have obtained them from manufacturers. And it's revealed as yet another half-assed scheme designed to rake in taxes for the city. regardless of the cost to the average person who actually has the misfortune to live and work in the zone. |
My V8 ZTT is fine but then again who would want to go to London?:eek:
|
just checked my v6 2.5 petrol.
and mine is ok. not that im off to London . will be interesting when the Coventry zone is running . |
