Leather cleaner. Tip

Instead of buying expensive leather cleaning products, use a f Flash Magic Eraser in a bucket of warm water with a dash of washing up Liquid. Brings the leather up brilliant, certainly sandstone, obviously the seats etc will need a wipe with some preserving solution afterwards to stop them from drying out, but I was pleased with the result.

Melamine sponges will rub off the protective coating of the leather if used frequently, it will make them susceptible to damage in the future if the coating wears away.

They're good for deep cleaning but I'd only use them once to get the seats to the desired standard and then maintain

Hence my additional sentence saying that they will need to be treated afterwards with some sort of leather cream, to stop the leather drying out.;);)

sugar soap is also very very good,

I bought proper leather wash and protection cream from https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leather_Care_Kit

The cream leaves a matt finish (which I prefer to a shiny finish and also gives a wonderful new leather smell.

I also use them on my sofa at home. Excellent products. No, not cheap but I think it's worth it.

If one wants a silky finish, CarPro Perl (diluted 1 part Perl to 5 parts water) looks good, but don't know how nourishing it is for the leather.

Oh, I forgot to mention, if you like a silky finish, Wood Silk furniture polish (couple of pounds from the supermarket) is ideal and doesn't contain any silicones (unlike Carpro Perl). It's a beeswax polish and beeswax is ideal for conditioning leather. I did try it out on my leather sofa once and the leather absorbed all I could spray on it.

Obviously apply sparingly until you know how much will be absorbed or you'll be slipping and sliding around corners!

I've used a normal domestic cleaner with added bleach for decades on both the cars and the suites at home.
Never had any problems but I do apply a nice leather cream afterwards ( Gliptone)

That sounded like a Viz top tip....
