Multi-changer swop

Hi all

Probably a stupid question but,

Can you straight swop an OE boot cd changer in a 75 with an OE one from a ZR. they both appear to have the same plug, if so will the steering wheel controls still work. Not changing the head unit.!

It's a CHM 604mp3 i'm thinking of fitting

Regards

Paul

If its in the boot once you've taken the unit out of the bracket the connector is behind it.

Hope that helps.

Hi Paul, if its from the same manufacturer it should work.
The steering wheel controls are linked to the head unit, not the changer so will work no problem:}

Thanks Jeff

To be honest when you think about it that makes perfect sense (it's an age thing with me:o)

Will have to stick my head in the boot in the morning and see what my current multi- changer is.

To get a CHM 604MP3 to work you will need an interface unit.

They are available from Incartec.

Whatever the standard multi-changer was that was fitted along with the CR 80 head unit.

Have taken the changer out but theres nothing on it, no labels, no manfacturers name, nothing.

Paul
