Jacking Pad Glue.
I want to stick a jacking pad on the car any recommendations on what to use. Cheers. Rev. |
I’ve used Gorilla glue and that’s worked ok.

Jacking pad glue.
I just used two self tappers, drill through about 12 mm from edge on each side to miss the internal bracketing.

Tiger seal will hold them on forever

The two that I have are in the boot !

Is it wise to stick them on? They attract rust, especially the OSR one.

I am about to have my sill welded up and was wondering about having a welded on metal pad on the car and a soft pad on the jack instead. Any opinions on this?

The jacking pads have a central 'cup' receiver for a similar sized 'pip' on the emergency jack. This is a safety measure to stop them sliding sideways under load. Whatever mods are made to the sills it ought to safely accomodate the jack you carry in the car.

Goop!
I have now tried a product called Goop Automotive glue and sealant. Rev. |
Can I ask why people are sticking them on ? :} Is it due to rusting sills ?
Mine just push in and twist and are still fine after 18 years  I shouldn't have said that , should I ; they will probably fall off now :getmecoat: |
