hello guys. im looking to reflash my sean dd wince 6 unit after it has started to play up. does anyone know where I can get a copy of this as sean (radioguy is no longer with us ). many of us did this reflash and worked well for them. sean used a link via email to download the firmwear but im no computer buff and would prefer it on an sd card to just reboot through the sd port if possible. any ideas anyone ?

I feel sure these files will be available somewhere, you'll just have to do a lot of Goggle-ing.
With the four files on an SD card, I assume you think you can boot from it? Is that actually possible?

well yes from what I understand. in the ice archives on here others have downloaded the files and unzipped them and put them on an sd card and reflashed the firmwear.this I understand was done in situ through the sd port. sean sent them the files via email so I don't have a link or a sean !! anyone help ? there are files out there wince ce5 and 6 and navall androids ….. which are which I havnot a clue.im not a pc buff. if I chose the wrong one (must be fat 32) it will trash the unit … or so im told.....thanks xsport.

Ah I see, you do intend to reflash the ROMs. I thought you planned/hoped to run the operating system directly from the card. Apparently, in some WinCE applications, that is quite possible.
There's lots of stuff about WinCE handling from my Google searches.

anyone got a link for the reflash ? I have sent a pm to jeff (coolcat) few days ago.no reply but maybe hes busy but he has been on here since it was sent. anyone help ? thanks xsport.

Be very careful, if you flash the wrong file you WILL brick the unit, as I found out ,and had to buy a new board off Sean many years ago.

thanks picky. im still looking but don't know where to start. sean sent out a pdf file complete with instructions and quite a few of them.all for windows ce 6 only. I don't even know the file name to search for it … if its online and secondly I dare not take a risk on a guess and brick the unit. so I hope that someone knows something.... coolcat says he cant help so im stumped !! cheers xsport.
