Doubt about get a new LCD IPK screen

I have tried to repair my IPK LCD screen without much success, now it just doesn't work, before it just had a lot of lines that made it illegible, I want to buy a new one but I don't know where, is Aliexpress a reliable place?

Unfortunately the original screens aren't repairable in a way that they last. The connections on the screens are also very brittle and can easily break preventing the screen from working at all, which is most likely what has happened to yours and why it is no longer working.

I used to own MG Rover Custom Car Parts and used to do repairs on these. Working with a automotive LCD specialist manufacturer I had new screens developed and made with a improved design to solve the issue with lines appearing on the display and fitted 400+ of them worldwide.

I sold the business on but the new owners do still offer this service. They can supply the screen to you and also can install it for you. I would recommend getting it professionally installed as fitting the screen requires soldering the 44 tiny micro contacts which are the ones that can break if you're not careful.

i found an chinesie MG7 (=Roewe750=Rover75) forum, and the owner himself repair the car display. he write is it understandable with pictures.
use google translate.
i would like to repair myself, but i must buy some tools :)

If i were you i would follow post 2 rick stars advice. He knows what he is speaking about .. :D

Even though as an ex-customer I appreciated Rick’s service and prices I don’t think I’d bother sending an IPK to the UK again.

I recently had a remote board (key entry) repaired by our local iPhone repair shop and discussed whether he would be able to solder something as minute as the display, he laughed handed me his special eye piece together with a circuit board and said “I repaired this today” - I couldn’t even see with my naked eye what he was working on.

All I’m saying is that there are other people out there who can do similar work without having to go through the trouble of posting an IPK to the UK (customs clearance etc). Try your local iPhone repair shop.
