its probably only top brass, show biz, pop stars or footballer types that could afford it. it would be very expensive i should imagine, one hell of a reg though.

Nope

ROV312S solf or sub £1K just over 2 years ago
ROV3R sold for a shade over £2K nearly 5 years ago
V675ROV sold for the grand sum of £250 last July!

ROV1 is a sub £10K plate

Weird how anything with a 1 in it is worth loads more. For instance, my initials are SGJ, my p/plate is N8 SGJ cost me £300, it's on my bike, was thinking of getting another for the car, so started searching, found N88 SGJ, for £100 more then mine, 1 SGJ sold for £60k:eek: 2 SGJ is £45k, 3 SGJ is £27k, 4 SGJ is 13.6k. However, 8 SGJ is coming up for auction soon with a guide price of £3k, a little more like it;)

Well I never I wondered whatever happened to that!! I remember back in 1984 in the Austin/Rover brochure which I still have that number was on the new Rover 200 Series & on a Moonraker Blue 216 VandenPlas!!

I guess in theory most ROV numbers should be fairly cheap given the manufacturer is defunct therefore cars are oldish & not so likely to attract expensive number plates.

ROV 1 well that is surprising, but ROV 3R thats a shocker, i thought it would be worth way more than that.

I don't think a pop star / footballer would be in a R75 :getmecoat:

Is it a V8? I can't quite make out the exhaust pipes...

Edit. Just turned up the contrast on my monitor, I can see it's not a V8 :p:
