OBD2 Scanner tools

Various types of canner available on the likes of well known auction sites but before I purchase one, can someone clarify a couple of points for me please.

Will it scan for ALL faults that prompt a warning light to illuminate on the instrument cluster?

and,

I have an ABS warning light on. Will the tool be able to check this giving the cause, and after repair, will I be able to use it to clear the fault and turn out the light?

Thanks in advance for anyone that can help.

No, none of the cheap OBD tools will give any insight into the ABS system on your car.

However you are not a kick in the pants away from Phil-T4 in Olney, why not drop him a PM and he'll be more than able to assist ;)

Thank you and will do.

The pscan tool will also read the ABS codes and live data, along with many other things and many other Rovers, MGs and LandRovers. It does not yet cover the entire car though.

Thanks for the invite. Would love to come over .....but....recent cut backs and redundancies in our company at Heathrow mean overtime is more a requirement than available so on a 08:00-22:30 tomorrow. Will keep an eye on meets or try and get over to Olney direction.

Hope the meeting goes well tomorrow.
