NANO MEETS 2019 ( Join Us ) On June 22nd & 23rd

Hello all members /owners.

Our third meet of the year is forth coming on June 22nd Saturday & Sunday 23rd 2019.

At our usual venue the Four Ashes Public House.

You are all welcome to attend so hopefully we will see quite a few of you at the 3rd meet of the year, you can find our calendar on our nano forum, the link is also at the bottom by my signature.

There is free camping on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd June for those that want it, either bring your tent, caravan or sleep in the car.

https://i.imgur.com/OHUnyIjl.jpg

Also there are plenty of local B&Bs/ hotels at reasonable prices, details on the links page of our website below for those that do not fancy camping.
http://www.midlandsnanomeets.co.uk/links.html

There maybe a full English breakfast with tea/coffee on both Saturday & Sunday mornings 10.00, this as of yet not been established we will announce this closer to the day.

There will still be a choice of a Saturday evening meal if you wanted to join in the social part of the Saturday evening, later orders for the evening meal should be around 19.00pm again we will announce this nearer the time.

As always there will be advice & help for those jobs you would like to tackle and have not got round to, we also have free T4 sessions sometimes we have two T4 which helps cut down the waiting time.

I will be carrying the usual free plenum spy hole mod trays, intercooler bends with added Viton O-rings, Viton coolant cap O-rings, Inline stats, PCV filters, Shannon tubes, amongst other items etc.

Also at the first meet I will have about three ( Manifold EGR MAP sensor ) change overs ready diesel cars only, you would need to Pm if you would like one of these.

All the best & hope to see you there Arctic.

I'll be there, as long as my hip doesn't do a brain f@rt like it did last week. :duh:

Might bring both cars, although dad has a few things he wants to do to his Mondeo and was wondering if he could do it at the NANO?

Is that for the complete unit? if so can I have one?

As for the plenum sponges - do you just plop them down the hole?

stocktake 8th June 2019 17:19

Unfortunately Marina's work commitments and other events mean we cannot make this one at all, Gutted :(. Still, the July one is not far away.

Dawn 8th June 2019 17:54

Sorry guys, I can't make the next 2 meets as I will be away for both unless things change. In Brum Sat August 3rd at Krown Rustproofing if anyone wants to catch me there and watch the process on my ZT, though! :)

woolleysox 11th June 2019 20:17

In in for both days. Last evening meet a number of us tried the food that had poor review in the past. I would like to confirm those of us who had a meal were very pleased with the meal.

My young lad just reminded me that there's a nano coming up. So we'll be pulling the tent out of the back of the grey tourer AF54ZVM for a stop over on Saturday.

I'm on the scrounge - would anyone happen to have a spare piezo buzzer for the back of a facelift IPK (reverse/ lights on warning buzzer) ?
Swap for a coupla bottles of wine or for pound notes?

See you there!

Alan

Hi Alan.
Welcome to the Nano meet, jump over to the Nano forum and ask the sane question regarding the buzzer, doing so may give you an answer as most crew will pick up on it as will other owners and members.;)

alan richard 21st June 2019 09:12

Thanks Arctic.

I'll do that.

See you there. Looks like it'll be a warm one.:}

AndyN01 21st June 2019 12:09

Hi all,

Having been totally messed about by the eBay buyer who "won" the auction for my 75 Diesel Tourer she's still with me.

So, if anyone is interested in my tourer please chat to me at the Nano on Saturday.

Andy.

Mark190 22nd June 2019 18:55

Unfortunately I cant make this one, working on the Saturday (today) and taking my better half Linzi to see her favourite band Bon Jovi at the Ricoh Arena tomorrow. Have a good time everyone all being well I can see you at the next one. Best wishes Mark.

Arctic 22nd June 2019 22:48

Great turn out once again at the Nano meet new and old faces attending, which only shows the meeting are still fairly strong in an ever growing slowing down on our car being popular as they are getting older.

Lots of work carried out as usual, clay mitting and polishing of a tourer, seats and consoles taken out, fan fitting, light cleaning, manifold identified as needing a change over either tomorrow or next meet, air duct fitted, locks changed, so a very productive along with great company and also wonderful banter, everyone should make a Nano meet one time or another, you never know one day they may not be there

Big thank you for those whom attended and hopefully see you again tomorrow or at another meet later in the year :} cheers Arctic.

Arctic 24th June 2019 17:51

Sunday meet was not as busy as the Saturday meet, but quite a lot still achieved by owner & crew on certain cars, tyre protectors, seats removed and replaced with leather ones, handbrake mods, cruise module changed on a V8, lights cleaned, few plenum tray swaps. and last but not least

Those that have a Tourer will most likely have heard if the gas strut breaking out of the side panel, below is a preventive mod to help stop that from happening, by using the plates in the photo's.

A pair was also given to Scott for his tourer, hopefully see a few more new faces at the July meet 20th & 21st ;)
