I am trying to get rid of the ZT-T. Good car, drives fine, just not for me. Can’t get used to the auto box paired with the V6.
Insurance is killing me. Nearly £200 per month for all the cars. :( |
Keep the Ti and drive it like it’s meant to be, will always bring a smile to your face, wow £200 a month I am less than that for the year, sorn a few

SELL - Rover 75 saloon diesel (former daily, off road but on road soon) SELL - MG ZT-T 180 - trying to get shot of this one as I hate the V6 auto. KEEP (IF the paint is good - GREAT package, stylish all rounder) - Rover 75 diesel typhoon (off road) KEEP - Rover 220 coupe turbo (off road but love this car) SELL (someone will pay well for this) - Rover 620Ti (immaculate and not owned for long) You got the winter blahs. Sell three, less insurance/month, more cash waiting! :D Cheers, Glenn |
Keep the coupe, you’ve had it a long time. The ti was probably an impulse buy I’m guessing so sell that too. Keep one 75 as a daily. Hope your ok..

I'm glad you posted this thread Rav, I've been thinking the same as you for sometime now. I've seem to have lost the enjoyment, the enthusiasm has gone which I find quite scary TBH. My insurance is due in March for all three cars, and I've been looking at the figures, plus when I take into account VED and repair bills I start questioning is it all really worth it???
I loathe the winter months anyway, I'm looking forward to the warmer weather, and then hopefully I will be back on track. But something is telling me I doubt I'll be thinking any different, my whole mindset seems to have changed. I cant ever imagine getting rid, just looking at my ZT on last months club calendar brings me enjoyment and stops me from selling the old girl. But I don't enjoy working on cars any more, and the jobs I cant do myself I struggle to find anyone locally that can, its a joke TBH. Do I really want this expensive stressful hobby I keep asking myself? |
sell the others and focus on your favorite 220 coupe mate :)

Rav, you have too many interests, and I can understand why, they are all good, but we do have to deal with the everyday matters as well, and sometimes it does good to have a clear out - decide what hobby you like best and reduce all the other pressures. I am sure with your knowledge and valuable input, you won't move far away from the Club and it's a good place to share all sorts of woes and wonders.

A daily drive 75 Diesel, this can be considered to keep so the one you love can be your occasional pleasure dive, weekend drives You are selling one as you don't like it, good choice v6 That leaves 1, the 620. How do you feel about this? et your feelings help you decide. you dont seem in a good place at the moment and that is not helping. Do you need to talk to someone? Don't put that off if you need help best wishes macafee2 |

So you will have the diesel as the hack, and the 620 and Coupe for playing with. I hope to have thinned my fleet considerably this year, in my "life laundry" sometimes you need to realise that cars are not the be all and end all, and to have a couple of nice ones, is better than a "fleet of dross", where they do nothing to enhance your well being, but sap at your very essence. Be brutal, get shot, and enjoy what you have left ;) Brian :D |
