'1998' 75 Connoisseur in dire need of work

Just spotted this very very sad-looking 75, which, if it's a 1998 car is certainly far more worthy of salvation than some of the cars we've seen. Gearbox aside, it might not be a big job to sort out. Definitely a launch car, if not a 1998 car.

It's in Bucks, so may be able to assist on a viewing if anyone was seriously interested.

The listing now says that 1998 was a mistake; it was first registered in 1999. The VIN number given suggests that it was one of the last of the 'T' registrations. This car needs saving! When the seller says that the gearbox "has gone", we know the score. ;)

A must save...

This is one of the cars that will be most desired when we are dead and gone, a part of history that we were part of, but will only help to preserve for the future. That's why it must be saved...It's no different than a Spitfire...

auction ended early.

I concur (which may come as a surprise!) It is undoubtedly a rare car, possibly one of the rarest. Even a fake enthusiast can see it must be worth saving. Hoping if and when it comes back up for auction it is bought by someone with the wherewithal to restore it properly.
