Sad news about a mate
Sad news today - rang a friend and colleague up this morning and left a message to ask if he could do a job for me.
I knew he had been very ill - very seriously ill in fact. But I had thought it was getting better. That said, I had also wondered why he had not been about or why we had not been able to get together for our regular coffee meetings. But like all things - I let things slip thinking we could always catch up “later”. Lunch time today his wife rang to say the cancer came back with a vengeance and he died on Sunday. I’m devastated. He was totally professional in all he did. Much younger than me by 20 plus years at just 45. His kids are still teenagers. |
Sad I can't say much more.

Really sorry to hear that. The terrible "C" has touched the lives of many a friend and loved one. I sincerely know how you feel.
My prayers and thoughts to you and your late friends family. Richard. |
Very sorry to hear your very sad news.

Condolences to you Clive. Thursday we hear if anything can be done for my aunt.

Many thanks to all. I think what gets me is that I am 67 next month and apart from a few broken bones and a belly button hernia op - I have never been ill.
I think I feel there will always be tomorrow. And now for my friend there is no tomorrow. I won’t see him again and I could have made time to see him. But I put it off to tomorrow. |
What a horrible shock, I hope you're ok.

Terrible news.

Cancer is a blight and I am sorry Clive to hear you lost a good friend as a result. Rest in peace
