usb and sub install on zt t?

rigghhhhhht yes me once again, but now im thinking of doing the car audio a service and upgrade. so i have read you can install a usb into the car off one of the front fascia panels, but i have the factory fitted kenwood 6 cd multi changer system, will this be able to be modified to use usb?

also, i want to inject some much needed bass into the mighty zt-t sooooo.. where can i put a sub that is hidden enough to have the luggage shield open?

and... what kinda speakers could i put in to replace the original ones? what sizes, brands, 2 way 3 way blah blah blah :shrug:

anyway thanks for any/all advise given you lovely lot, and a virtual drink is on its way !!:D

Choices, choices:D
Connects2 make usb interfaces that can be used in combination with Kenwood head units and changers.
I believe Autoleads also do a similar product.
Check their websites out and you will find them.
There are lots of brands of active subs that will fit under seats or in small spaces.
Obviously the bass response on these will be compromised to a degree by the cubic volume of their cabinets.
Our cars take 165/170mm speakers front and rear and I would probably go for components in the front and full range units in the rear.
The single greatest improvement you could do would be to replace the plastic door pods for some mdf type frames instead.
Well worth using some sound deadening material like dynamat on the doors as well.
Don't forget to post up your pictures when you've done your install:D

It would be cheaper to get a new headunit than invest in a Connects2 system.

I would tend to agree although sometimes peeps like to keep what they've got:}

First thing I did with both my Zeds was replace the ice.
Alpine TypeR complete head unit, amp and speakers in my mk1 and Radio guy Double din and replaced component speakers in my current mk2

Anyhow , this is a link onto connects2 website.
