Car in for a service, flabergastd
My wife's car is in for a service to keep the warranty valid. We have just been sent a video of them checking tyre depth, brakes and the underside of the car for problems.
Novel I guess :) macafee2 |
Which dealer/manufacturer?
Nice to see someone actually showing you what's being done. Andy. |

A lot of main dealers do this now.

Yup - Honda always send me a video along similar lines. At Christmas time, they "hide" a small Santa somewhere in the video and you qualify for a free draw if you can spot him. Last year. poor Santa was hanging by his waistband from an exhaust mounting

Yes this has been happening for a while.
A friend had a video of his Focus being serviced apparently but when he looked closely he noticed the colour of the car was not the same as his and in fact checked the date of the video file and it was filmed several months previously. |

It's great to know that they have resources to use up on this during service work, how much of the service really is done ?
I guess this is the same as no advisories on MOT for vehicles which are some age now simply rushing the job with no time to do things properly, still I suppose this is ok for most who know little about vehicles. |
A little off topic,but similar.
A few years ago had stents fitted after heart attack. Watched the procedure on screen on wall during OP. Often wondered if it was live or just a video put up to keep me amused.:D |
I was in Brussels for the Moon landing in 1969. The landing was delayed and Belgium TV showed a film,,,,,,,,,,,,Custers Last Stand.
