Oh god, what are you doing to this poor car?!

Get a set of Apex's and call it job done.

Im doing what i want with it, i think ZT's are dated and tired looking and anything that can be done to improve them is fine by me. If rover were still running and the zt was in production still do you think they would leave them looking like old mans cars? I think not but its your taste and your choice to leave yours as is:D

yeah but come on..

Nothing suits the car better than the OE Apexs.

Its that simple.

Do you want it looking like its crashing into halfords?!

We are dealing with a rare future classic here.

If you like them that's all that matters, but personally I think they look a lot more dated than the apexes and with them being a vw offset which is about 35mm as opposed to the mg which is 50mm your handling will be affected and you'll have a heavier load on the bearings

Yeah I agree, I like them, I did have similiar on my 45, but with more chrome, more bling, I like deeper dishes.

If I could find a decent set of aftermarket rims to match my rover 75 tourer I would, but so far, nothing looks as good as the standard Forked ones.

Those alloys are nice. Bet they looked awesome on your 45. I have to agree that dish alloys are the way to go. I spend ages trying to find some aftermarket alloys that would suit my ZT and the only ones which would look good are deep dish alloys. Its quite hard to find a set of alloys which really suit the 75's or ZT's.

Each to their own with things like this. However...

I read somewhere that it was only ever Apex's and Straights/11 Spokes fitted to the MG V8 models, as these were the only wheel styles strong enough to safely handle the extra power/torque.

As both these designs have many spokes (hence directly spreading all the additional load around the body of the wheel), can you be sure your new ones will be strong enough, especially with just 5 spokes ?

I appreciate this is a somewhat simplistic way of looking at it, but could get interesting if you were to crack the centre from an aftermarket wheel :eek:

Good luck whatever you choose :}

I think they look great on your car! 19 inch wheels really suits the ZT and I think that MG/Rover should have made that an option when buying. Even the launch showcar had 19 inch wheels!
I would love to fit genuine 19" BBS Challange wheels to my 190. That would be the perfect choice I think. :drool4:
