Been to see this today. There was an orange colour dust in the engine bay. The door post mottled with rust to. Should I stear clear or will it be an easy fix. Drives perfect https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...408bab4492.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...98ca3de29c.jpg

Door finisher is an easy swap, the engine bay 'dust' may be the sound deadening foam from underneath the engine cover, this usually happens when a mouse has built a nest!!

could the orange colour dust be rust from a coolant "leak"?

Take a look at the mot history, it has failed the mot a fair number of times

As Andy says the door finisher isn't a problem. They tend to rust from the inside so by the time rust appears on the outside they're well gone. I replaced ones on a 1.8T I used to have, spots of rust outside, absolutely rotten inside.
