FBH question
I have my FBH set up to run whenever I want by sending it a text.
I noticed tonight, when I jumped into the car that it was only 4 degrees. I started the engine and drove off fully expecting the FBH to fire up on it's own as the conditions were right. My FBH didn't, me thinking hmmm what's up with it. I sent it a text, and it fired up no problem. It would seem that putting a pin into the plug to allow manual operation seems to disconnect the auto operation even though there is no earth (or in my case no 12v as it's an early FBH) being sent down the wire Is this normal? Not really a problem, as I can still turn it on when I need it. |
what pin did you use for sending the text?

It should still fire up when cold enough, I have a gsm remote and mine still works when cold.

I went out this morning, it was showing 2.5 degrees.
I started the engine and guess what, the FBH started up with it. It took the temp up to 77 ish in about 5 minutes while just ticking over. Bit puzzled as to why it didn't start yesterday evening when the dash was showing 4 degrees, but never mind it's working ok now. Sent to test us me thinks lol |
