change wheel size
 

Hi all i am in the process of purchasing a Rover 75 tourer 02 reg i was wondering if i could put larger wheels on it only reason i don't have it at the moment is lockdown traveling restrictions i am not sure but i think it is 16in thats on it i was wondering if i could put 18in on to raise it slightly thats if i can sorse 18ln wheels i think its comets that are on it just wondering if it can be done thanks in advance

Mine is lowered also, but the bigger the wheel, the smaller the profile of the tyre, so comfort will be slightly compromised.:cool:

Hi John, I wanted to lose the big gap between the wheelarch and tyre, so I fitted Eibach Pro lowering springs, 25mm lower along with the 18's for looks and handling:cool:

excuse my ignorance so if i have a fifteen inch wheel and change it for an eighteen in wheel because of the difference in the tiers they are basically the same height i was hoping to raise the car a little bit

Yes, the wheel/tyre combinations that are recommended (see table below) means that the rolling radius remains approximately the same. This ensures the speedometer stays within legal limits of accuracy.

The only way to raise/lower the body is to modify the suspension.
