LAST NANO MEET 2019 October 19th &20th

Hello all members /owners.

Our last meet of the year is forth coming on October 19th & 20th 2019.

At our usual venue the Four Ashes Public House.

You are all welcome to attend so hopefully we will see quite a few of you at the last meet of the year, you can find our calendar on our nano forum, the link is also at the bottom by my signature.

There is free camping from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th October for those that want to camp, either bring your tent, caravan or sleep in the car.

Also there are plenty of local B&Bs/ hotels at reasonable prices, details on the links page of our website below for those that do not fancy camping.

There maybe a full English breakfast with tea/coffee on both Saturday & Sunday mornings 10.00, this as of yet not been established we will announce this closer to the day.

If the breakfast does not go ahead then there is a café about 3 miles up the road, quite a few members visit that if they are peckish.

There will still be a choice of Saturday evening meals which are very good and at a reasonable price, if you wanted to join in the social part of the Saturday evening, last orders for the evening meal should be around 20.00pm so you are not disappointed.

As always there will be advice & help for those jobs you would like to tackle and have not got round to, this is the last chance of the year to sort out those little niggle, we also have free T4 sessions sometimes we have two T4 which helps cut down the waiting time.

I will be carrying the usual free plenum spy hole mod trays, intercooler bends with added Viton O-rings, Viton coolant cap O-rings.

I also will have with me Inline stats, PCV filters, Shannon tubes, gold resistor, amongst other items etc.

Also at this meet I will have two only ( Manifold EGR MAP sensor ) available to get your car ready for the Autumn & winter months ahead, these are change overs for diesel cars only, you would need to PM if you would like one of these, as a time as to be allocated for the swap over.

This is what the manifold & EGR looked like which I swapped over at the last meet, how was the engine ever breathing properly  answer is it wasn't.

The owner certainly went home with an engine that could now breath better, and would run better, add a change of PCV filter as well & the car will have thanked him back in MPG.

Note the rear of the EGR

Look how the entrance of the manifold as closed up through the nasty black tar that was chocking the engine.

PCV filter were hard to the touch on both the cars that they were removed from.

Ready to do there work again once more ;)

Any advice on this welcome as would like to be more involved and look forward to October. Rob W Tenbury Wells

Could always open a Google Mail account as a temporary solution?

I will of course be there in October. :)

Many thanks Artic,

One of those PCV filters was mine. It looks like it had never been changed since the car left the factory back in 2005!

I was meaning to ask, roughly how many miles should I be looking at changing it again?

Many thanks

Richard

Hi Richard.
I changed mine every 18 months 2yrs but I should imagine you would get at least 20.000miles out of one which would work out around 6p per month :D yours would have been changed sometime if it had not it would have been swollen at least three times the amount in the photo.

I'll only be doing roughly 6000 miles a year in mine, so should last a while!

Richard
