Banana has had her re-map for over 4 years now. You will notice a difference in the mpg and performance.

I've had a remap before when Kmaps were Z&F Tuning. This was on my TF 160 so I knew what to expect. I can feel the differences between the benefits on the TF and ZT. TF gained about 8bhp and the ZT 40bhp.

But, its not all about bhp. Its also about smooooothing out the rev range giving a better driving experience. OK it is about the extra power :D

I had a long term small misfire on the ZT. No matter what I did, new plugs at different gaps, new coils, new leads, it didn't solve the problem. I learned to live with it however Kmaps worked their magic and the misfire has now gone. Nice and smooooooth now. The engine even sounds different.

T4 showed the car was in good health although someone had redlined it to 7,250 revs at one point. Must have been the previous owner or my wife booting it home to catch Eastenders.

Since it wa s mapped yesterday I've only really had a motorway journey home and a slow boring run into work today so not really had the opportunity of fully testing, but im happy so far.

How does a remapped 1.8 compare with a v6 or diesel (135 and 160 remapped versions)? I'll leave the v8 out of any comparisons because it's a different configuration.

I understand you cant remap the V6 petrol.

I don't have any experience of the diesel. Someone will answer though :}
