My new 75 tourer - 2003,2.0,Auto,Connie

Hi all

I have acquired my new 75 as above, Few little niggles I aim to get sorted!

Firstly the Nav, screen / LCD is broken, How easy is it to replace the whole unit with a 3rd party unit and what leads do I need?

Secondly, the LCD on the Highline display in the middle of the Instrument Cluster has broken pixels, any way to fix or just replace the cluster?

Are either of the above Coded to the car in anyway or can I just rip and replace?

PS: I have the Nav/Allpine Uunit, If I was to remove this would I find standard ISO leads behind there to use with a 3rd Party Radio ?

Thanks all.

Welcome, your display can be fixed by Rick-sta, he supplies new ribbons to replace your pixellated one.
The radio can be changed to whatever you want, the leads, depending on the age of your car, will be Iso connectors, which fit most units, early cars have BMW connectors, but you can get iso-BMW leads with steering controls. Hope that helps a little:cool:

Thanks buddy!

Apparently, if I remove my Nav unit and search behind the back of the ashtray I'll find the ISO connectors? mines a 2003 MY.

Looks like I'll have to contact the Rick-Sta when I get back from holiday!

When you remove your unit you'll have to unplug the ISO connectors from it, unless it's BMW connector:cool:

Ahh ok guess I won't find out until I try. I have the nav unit with the screen on the left. Screen is beyond F****d.

Thank you for your assistance and information. Very much appreciated.
