I have booked the club in for this show. Held at Thoresby Park. Exhibitor tickets for driver and 2 adults cost is 8.50 if booked on line before 31 March. Please remember to book with club name so a place can be reserved for us on the field.
Please put you names below when booked. Mick Guys, sincere apologies (its an age thing), I posted the wrong date. We are attending on Monday 6th not 5th. Further info as follows. The show is organised by Classic Shows and can be found on their web site at classicshows.org. To book scroll down to Thoresby show and click tickets. If booked before 31 march the cost is £5.91 for driver and 2 passenger but only if booked under club classic car exhibitor 31.3.24. When paying for tickets you can enter the club name. Again, apologies for the errors. Best Wishes Mick List Mick Legatha Daveo138 Rev Jules Elroy Boater Diesel Driver Mattyboy Goldrover |

I’m booked for the Monday.
Hoping it will be a good event. I missed it last year, as I was out of action, unfortunately. |
I am booked in for this event.

I’m going to this.
I will attend this as well but not sure in which car yet. In 2022 I took both my 75’s & went on the bank holiday Monday with my dad driving one of them but alas he won’t be fit enough to come with me this year so I must choose.
That year there were three 75 Tourers, a V8 ZT-T & 75 saloon but as we were all separate entries the only two together were mine. What is the club name? Should I enter under Rover 75/MG ZT club? |

I’m now booked in for Monday May 6th as an exhibitor under the Rover 75/MG ZT Club. It didn’t ask me the car registration so that leaves open to the day which car I can take but my inclination is to bring along the MG ZT-T.
With about six of us attending so far we should be able to make a decent lineup. |

Guys,
List updated. Looks like a great turnout for Ted. Mick |

Just spotted your message. I prefer the Cortina look, but my P100 is Sierra based. It's a 1.8 diesel turbo. I'm happy with it, but it needs work to tidy it up. I've bought some bits in order to fit electric power steering. It's ok driving along, but a dog to park as heavy steering and I'm getting on a bit. All the best, John (diesel driver). |
Thinking of attending with my 22 year old Rover75. She's still running well. I'm hoping to see some experts to check her over since I've been having a few issues with the front suspension. My wife and I have attended a few meets - Lincolnshire and a few in Yorkshire, but never in Notts. Last meet I attended was almost 2 year ago in Lincolnshire and I met Ted there. Will be good to see his family. Sounds like a good day out. Looking forward to some guidance on booking and reserving a slot on the Rover stand.:smilie_re:

Problems with front suspension... Knocking etc is usually drop links and/or lower arm bearings. Jarring/jerking when driving at gear changes or setting off could be engine mounts. I have had all three attended to on my 24 year old, now it is as smooth as silk. Not expensive parts if you are upto doing some work yourself. Sent from my Note_7P using Tapatalk |
Have just purchased ticket for Monday 6th May on club stand.
See you all there, let's hope for good weather. |
Robbrooks: you can still purchase a ticket at around £8. The discounted tickets ceased on 31st March but that still gets you & a passenger in. As stated it could be the drop link, just had mine replaced on the Tourer when it failed.
Goldrover: not sure I’ve seen you driving around unless you past me on the A57 the other month when I was in my ZT-T. Legatha: I meet you this weekend at the Gaydon 25th Anniversary Launch. I was moaning about rip off car insurance! |

Thanks to Mick Brownhill for organising today's visit to the show, and the moving tribute to late member Ted (whom I never met, sadly).
A good turnout of 10 cars, and I believe 11+ members. I very much enjoyed meeting the members attending, and putting faces to the names I've seen on here. There was an impressive collection of other cars/bikes/trucks to look at (and drool over) too. I discussed modifications and memories of cars/motorcycles with a few of their owners, and plenty of bargains to be had in the stalls. I took a few snaps, but Elroy's efforts outshine them all, so I'll just post Herbie here! 😉https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d439bb3dd4.jpg Sent from my Note 16 Pro using Tapatalk |

Good to meet everyone today.
The Rover P4 in Elroy's photo belongs to a chap in our village. It's been in his family for decades, having belonged to his father. I believe it was originally a motor-show car. |
Good to see everyone again, lovely tribute to Ted.
Well done to Mick for organising. Plenty to look at and the weather was good., |
the weather was very kind,a brilliant day out meeting old friends, well done Howard for winning Teds trophy well deserved.

Whitegold Gathering/Thoresby
Teds family asked me to pass on their grateful thanks for everyone who went to Teds show. They were overwhelmed with the number who were there and said Ted would have loved it. Tracy picked Howards well presented silver 75 and handed the tankard to a well deserved winner.
I would like to thank all those who supported this memorial event for a friend who is missed. Diary date for next year spring bank holiday Monday for Teds memorial gathering. Best Wishes Mick |
Whitegold Gathering/Thoresby
Fabulous photos from a lovely event. Thoresby was Teds favourite venue. His family loved it. I am trying to get the photo the family took of Teds grandkids next to Whitegold. I think seeing the car again was a little emotional for them.
